Warranty

General:

All products manufactured and installed by Haida Glass include a one year warranty (unless otherwise stated on your invoice) against defects in materials and workmanship. This includes residential and commercial skylight systems, structural pyramids, walkway covers, awnings, t-bar glazing systems, pressure plate glazing systems, glass canopies, ridge canopies, shed style canopies, skylights, skylight clusters, solariums, sunrooms, balcony enclosures, windows (framing), glass railings, storefronts, doors and any other product supplied and installed by Haida Glass are provided with a one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Haida Glass is warranted to the original purchaser/ homeowner ONLY listed on the paid invoice. Haida Glass does not provide a warranty on any products that we do not install ourselves (supply only) and Haida Glass will only provide a warranty on Invoices that have been PAID IN FULL.

  • This warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product exclusive of shipping and installation charges.
  • If a defect in a system or installation is discovered, the defective unit/ system must be reported to Haida Glass in writing (by email) without delay and within a reasonable amount of time to limit any damages that may result. A copy of the paid invoice must be provided at the same time.
  • Haida Glass must be given the opportunity to inspect any reported defects or problems with materials and workmanship within a reasonable amount of time after the defect is discovered. If notice is not received by us in writing (email) and the homeowner/contractor goes ahead with repairs/replacements on their own, making a claim to Haida Glass after the fact, then all warranties are null and void and canceled.

Double Glazed Sealed Units:

Standard TEN (10) year Manufacturer’s warranties will apply for double glazed sealed units. Extended warranties can be purchased for an “extra” charge and will be billed as an “extra” on your invoice. We provide a limited warranty on workmanship and materials for a period of one year from the date of the “paid in full” invoice unless otherwise stated on your invoice.

Skylight Leak Repairs:

Service calls for Leak Repairs provide NO WARRANTY and NO GUARANTEE and have a minimum charge of $150 for the first hour of labor and an additional $100 per hour per man following that. While we make best efforts to fix a leak on the first service call, it may require multiple visits and sometimes, no matter how much we caulk, flash and repair the area, the problem may return and a decision to replace all may be recommended after all avenues for repair are exhausted.

Sometimes roofs and roofing systems may be the cause of the skylight leak and nothing can be done to stop the ingress unless the roof is repaired or replaced. After inspection, our experts will advise the best course of action for all skylight leak repairs and if you need a roofing contractor, we can help with a referral to an expert.

All our employees are covered under WCB and we carry Liability Insurance.
